For the past seven years, Jeff and I have had the immense pleasure of being a part of the La Jolla Playhouse community. The Playhouse holds a special place in the world of theatre for its rich history of innovation and commitment to fostering new work. The Playhouse constantly reminds us why live theatre is so pivotal to understanding the human experience — it provides a unique and immediate form of storytelling that connects audiences with diverse narratives, emotions and perspectives you may not otherwise be able to encounter.  

Over the years, I’ve realized that La Jolla Playhouse is much more than the incredible shows they put on. As a member of the Board of Trustees, I am able to witness just how vital the Playhouse is to the community of San Diego. From the WOW Festival to the POP Tour, the Playhouse continues to bring artists, theatre enthusiasts and community members together, contributing to the vibrant cultural scene of San Diego. I am also honored to be the chair of the Learning and Engagement committee and inaugural member of the Community Learning Circle.  

Jeff and I have a deep appreciation of the arts and are constantly amazed by the dedication of the team at the Playhouse. We are tremendously grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such an important institution, and we can’t wait to see what comes next!
